It has been a long time since I have shot with Katie. Too long in fact. We always have fun when we shoot. A shoot was due! Katie mentioned that her friend, Jenna, was coming…
So Monika. I haven't shot her in years. We caught up again on Facebook and she told me about an idea she wanted to try. Me being open minded about concepts, agreed to try it…
I know I am a bit late on this announcement. A few of you already knew about the birth of my daughter, Blu Azucena Sevilla, via Facebook. Blu was born three weeks ago and was…
So two weekends ago I shot Diana. She had an interesting look which I generally look for in models. We went to Miami beach to try some test shots in swimwear, since swimwear is extremely…
I know I am a little delayed in posting this, but better late than never right? This was a shoot I did when Elena and I visited New York. I posted a casting call for…
So my friend John asked me for some head shots. I promised him I would so I did it this weekend. I needed a white background and decent lighting. Well, when I went to pick…
Amanda loved the photographs I took of Jaribay. She contacted me shortly after and hired me to do something along those lines. You know, sunrise with nice colors in the back and such? Great! Time…
Sometime ago Elena wanted to go out and play with her new camera. She wanted to take photos of her friend Yami, along with her husband and son. We went to the park and decided…
I am always picky about quality. I always like shooting at ISO 100 to make sure I get crisp and clear photographs. Tonight I was playing with grain and wondering about whether or not it's…
I was hired again by fashion designer/model Katie Eastman. She is the owner of Truffle, her fashion line. Originally I pitched to her the idea of a bikini shoot with lighting along the lines of…
I recently blogged about my shoot with Sonju and Jessica. I mentioned that I was meeting a model that same day for additional test shoots. Karina is from Russia and like Jessica, is also extremely…
Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Sonju of Sonju Photography. I have been following her work for almost two years now. Every now and then we would talk about photography but never met...until…
Cleo began working on Elena. I could not help but want to take video footage of what was going on (video of this shoot at the end of this article). I was watching Elena morph…
About two weeks ago I wanted to try a beach shoot with someone that has a bikini figure. I asked Jaribay if she would be interested in shooting. She seemed excited and told me that…
This shot was taken with me standing next to them using a 17mm lens. I like this photo. The facial expressions on both Katie and Elena are amazing. Oh Yes, this shot was also taken…
I was looking through some of my unpublished work the other day when I come across this shot. It was a bikini/swim wear sunrise photo shoot. The problem was that the clouds completely blocked off the sunrise and as such I was forced to try other things, other camera angles to try to salvage the morning. In this particular shot, I asked the model to lie down on the sand for some shots, when she recommended perhaps doing a topless concept, but being covered with sea weed. Winston, my assistant, was with me so I take a look at him. I felt a bit shy about the notion since there were people at the beach and I'm not used to shooting implied in public places. I said go for it.

Amy is a co-worker with a background in graphic design. Often times, when I used to work in her office, she would come along and show me and another IT Co-Worker some of her work. Never failing to impress us, she one day showed me her photographic work using a point-n-shoot camera. Since then I have encouraged her to purchase a DSLR for her photography. She finds out later on that I shoot photographs for fun.

I had the honor of photographing a lead clothing designer in South Florida recently, Katie from www.ShopTruffle.com. The original intent of this shoot was to shoot simple shots with a white background to add to a web catalog. Nothing fancy was required. I did go ahead and did the simple white background thing, but while editing I noticed how colorful her clothing line was, so it sparked an idea. Why not make the background a bit more interesting and augment the colors she is wearing in the shots? Paint! I have also been experimenting with a different editing technique on the skin. Keep in mind, she made the clothing herself. Enjoy.

At this time, no, I do not have a studio. Most of my photos that appear to be shot in a studio was shot in nothing more than a small room with white walls. It's a simple as moving furniture around.
If you would like to shoot in a studio, then arrangements can be made for an additional fee.
No previous experience modeling is required. If you browse through my portfolio, 90% of all my models have had little to no experience prior to shooting with me.
If you do have experience, then that's great!
Just try not to be camera shy and be yourself :)
Depending on what type of photograph you want, we can choose an environment that can depict the concept. For example, if you want something "urban", then we can shoot somewhere like Downtown Miami. If you want beach photos, then Miami or Ft. Lauderdale beach will do. If you want family portraits, then perhaps a park may do. Location is discussed in detail while figuring out exactly what you are looking for, and I do offer several suggestions based on you feedback.
No, most models do their own makeup and hair for my shoots. I can however provide make up artists, hair stylists and wardrobe stylists for an additional fee.
Or, I can try to do your hair and makeup myself, but I would highly not recommend it!
I keep your money and run away!....
Kidding :) We re-schedule, though it may not be re-scheduled sometime soon, as I may have other scheduled clients pending. Ever thought about shooting in the rain? Or perhaps while it's thundering? yeah...think about it..might be cool lol
On my online gallery, I have a section called "Private Galleries" that is used by clients and models. Here I will secure your gallery with the password you have requested. Once in, you can open your photos in large formats and download them to your computer. Alternately, I can mail you a CD/DVD with you photos.
I am not expensive :) I do this mainly as a hobby, as such my rates are low compared to other photographers in my area. I will however share an interesting article I read a while back that talks about this in greater detail.
This basically means a free photo shoot. You give your time in exchange for photographs given to you on a disc. At the start of my photography, I mainly focused on TFCD photo shoots to get experience. Models were helping me gain the experience I was looking for, and I was helping the models get some nice photos in the process.
Today, I do TFCD on a very limited basis. Models need to be exceptionally good looking while having unique and different attributes that may stand out in a photograph.
Please do not be offended if I decline your offer of a TFCD shoot. It does not man you would not take excellent photographs, it just means that I am currently looking for something else for TFCD.
Photography is more of a hobby to me than anything. I do have a 9:00am - 5:00pm full time job, as such I am only available during evenings. I am free all day Saturday and Sunday.
Yes. You can bring a friend, so long as your friend is willing to be non-intrusive and/or willing to assist me with the shoot (ex: holding a light reflector, carrying equipment etc).
Yes and no.
The hours you purchased on your package begin when I begin shooting. If you paid extra fees for a makeup artist and a hairstylist, the clock does not start until I begin shooting.
The clock does continue however if we travel to a second location, or if makeup and hair is being re-done.
